Terms of use

Hearthside is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it. We ask you to confirm this the first time you enter, and we may suspend accounts we believe belong to under-18s.

Hearthside is offered as a calm place for quiet focus. By using the service you agree to treat other people with ordinary courtesy, keep intentions and display names free of abuse, and not attempt to disrupt rooms, scrape personal data or circumvent safety controls.

If someone makes the space unsafe you can report them — from the room they are in, or afterwards from your privacy settings, where people you recently shared a room with are listed. Suspensions apply to the browser as well as the account, so making a new account does not reverse one.

Rooms may show who is present and what they are working on when those people opt into visible presence. Do not record, harass or impersonate others. Moderators may suspend accounts that make the space unsafe.

The service may be unavailable at times, and Demo Mode may simulate occupants for local development. Features and rooms can change as the product grows.

Liability, governing law, dispute resolution and acceptance language will be completed by counsel. Until then, use Hearthside kindly and at your own risk.
